HIATUSING

Need a break? That's fair! All we ask is that you fill out the below form, so we know how to handle it.

Anything longer than 1 week qualifies for crystal stasis or autopilot, while anything longer than 3 weeks requires crystal stasis.

There is currently no set limit on hiatuses, but this is subject to change near the end (dates tbd) of Trial by Fire.

Crystal Stasis

During Trial by Fire, everyone is undergoing some form of crystal stasis at all times. For the purposes of a hiatus, the character becomes completely crystallized, and thus "frozen".

This method allows the player to easily step away and not worry at all about what sort of handwaving to do. When the hiatus ends, the crystallization reverses, and the character will feel a little stiff.

All players are allowed to have some remnants of crystal stasis remaining, if they like; scars that resemble cracks, faintly tinted skin (the color of the respective crystal), etc. Everyone is encouraged to be creative, within reason.

Autopilot

If the hiatus will be 1-2 weeks, autopilot is perfectly fine! Please take the time to plot with any closest CR, and ensure all players are on board with any handwaved interactions.

ERASURE

We understand that RP sometimes needs to be set aside for any variety of reasons; we're here to help the transition go as smooth as possible.

As the "endgame" of TbF is TPK, we've set the drop mechanic to include a form of "erasure". While we can't specify exactly what it means, yet, we're leaving as many details as possible to each player filling out the below form:
